Tableau Introduction Videos

Problem: Navigating Tableau reports is a critical skill for Brother's sales and marketing employees. 

While the data analytics team provides training upon request, they discovered that many new hires lacked a basic understanding of the folder structure and the fundamentals of Tableau navigation.

Solution: In collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) from the data analytics team, I developed two short introductory videos, each focusing on different aspects of the Tableau system.

• Video 1: Provided an overview of the system’s organizational structure, enabling sales and marketing professionals to navigate to the appropriate sections for their division and locate the necessary reports.

• Video 2: Demonstrated basic navigation within Tableau reports, including how to make selections and apply filters to view the data and charts relevant to specific inquiries.

Result: The data analytics team found that the number of inquiries from sales and marketing decreased and the quality and focus of the questions they did receive had improved.
